Introducing patchwork quilts by The Saint James Trading Co.

 

In his African travels, our founder noticed a pattern. Too often, hotels and spaces were either sterile luxury devoid of local flavor or kitschy lodges selling a contrived cartoon of Africa. Our quilts ask several questions. Can we deliver a design that has more harmony? Can we capture the joie de vivre of a modern Africa bubbling with often untapped energy? Can we employ Africans and make that product in Africa?

 

The Saint James Trading Co. is currently making quilts in Cotonou, Benin and Cape Town, South Africa.
